Yes, WL is not supposed to be at 65ft from his target so you can't kill him. You can't stun or snare the pet (or even kill it outright). Completely safe.
As you noticed, you've already to choose, what you want to try:
a) ignore pet, try kill WL and get pulled regardless
b) ignore WL, focus on pet
In case of Marauder you always "focus/cc Marauder - problem solved", also Marauder can't boost his speed to pull you as TE cancels Charge. Pet should die easily to AoE. Unless Fetch gets replaced with TE mirror.

b) try to interrupt. too late though, unless you are already have a mara as a target and actually have a ranged interrupt (most likely, you don't). get pulled anyway since even if mara is interrupted, TE won't go on cd.
Problem solved? Btw i do agree that fetch should be mirrored to TE. I'm sure destro WILL NOT enjoy this. Obviously, mirrored TE should be usable without a pet.

I'm talking about MARAUDER mechanic, not about Shatter Limbs/Bad gas pair.

At least it won't be dying on sc that often. Still, not the best solution.

P.S. I wish to at least something to happen. I've waited for a bloody year - and mdps balance patch did NOTHING to adress this. You can argue about choppa/slayer rework, but at least they TRIED to do something. As for WL, they might as well just don't touch it at all.
P.S. WE buff is total...balance...

Yeah i'm not saying to just slap aoe reduction on the pet like a bandaid

I'm saying it has to be the bare minimum to make pet gameplay in rvr *viable* as a first step, it should also get a rework on its abilities

For example id say fetch should only work if your pet is within 10ft, so you can use it only if your pet is built in a way that can endure frontline damage. And rather than fetch to wl id say either fetch to selected friend or if no target then throw them behind you
